Similar to many gulf front resort properties, occupancy demands created limited opportunities for a major restoration project. However, between Labor Day and Memorial Day, a job was completed that included a major overhaul of the stucco cladding, installation of new guard railing, walkway and balcony deck re-finishing, installation of new sliding glass doors and windows as well as interior finish repairs surrounding the new sliding glass doors and windows.

During the summer semester C-Sharpe served as the general contractor for an annual maintenance project encompassing Stadium Drive, North ten Hoor, Ridgecrest, Riverside and Ferguson parking decks. Some of the work scopes performed consisted of waterproof traffic coating systems, expansion joint replacement, structural concrete repair, masonry cladding repair and electrical upgrades that included installation of two backup generators. This project was completed on a very tight schedule prior to the fall semester which was accomplished by much help and direction from the university’s Construction Administration Department.

Tidewater Beach Resort

C-Sharpe performed extensive concrete repair on the parking garage and applied a new BASF Traffic grade urethane coating system. On the main building, we performed sealant replacement and elastomeric coating at the south elevation bay windows, hurricane restoration to the stucco stair towers, and installed new storefront window systems at the walkways.

Thomas Hospital

Located in Fairhope Alabama, Thomas Hospital is owned and operated by Infirmary Health Systems. C-Sharpe applied a GE Silshield silicone elastomeric coating system which was the first waterproof coating to be applied to the North Tower stucco cladding since it was originally constructed. This project also consisted of masonry sealing, sealant replacement and miscellaneous painting.

Sterling Breeze

C-Sharpe’s first project with Seaside, FL based Pendleton and Bowman Inc., Sterling Breeze posed logistical challenges related to the height of the building and close proximity to other Panama City Beach condominiums. The scope of the project consisted of elastomeric walls coatings, sealant replacement as well as common walkway and parking garage waterproof deck coatings.

Spring Hill College

C-Sharpe performed this project for Springhill College which consisted of a complete exterior restoration as well as an interior remodel of the Langan Hall apartment units. This project was completed on a strict schedule to allow students to move back in the newly restored units.

C-Sharpe removed and replaced the stucco components and painted the West elevation wall as part of a hurricane remediation. In addition, we performed a complete overhaul of the pedestrian bridges including media blasting, painting, insulation, new stucco enclosure, and roof replacement.

Orange Beach, AL

C-Sharpe was awarded a contract to perform the first waterproofing maintenance project for this property. Work performed on the parking garage structure included concrete repairs, urethane coating of the deck surfaces and wall coatings. The scope of work for the 15 story condominium building involved an elastomeric wall coating system along with related joint sealant replacement and surface repairs. Through careful planning and use of temporary protection devices for occupants, the building remained open throughout the duration of the project.

Complete removal and replacement of brick wall cladding, replacement of glass curtain wall and window systems as well as detailed waterproofing of backup walls were all accomplished without interruption to the operation of the facility.

C-Sharpe performed a large restoration project that included stucco replacement, storefront window replacement, metal seam roof replacement, demolition of framed knee and partition walls, installing new handrails, applying decorative pedagard coating to all decks, sealant replacement, and coating the walls and ceilings.
